In my artwork, I venture into a world I didn't experience growing up. Raised in a less diverse environment, I aimed to understand the vibrant communities
I missed. My work illustrates AI's extraordinary potential as a fascinating tool, rather than a frightening one.
Capturing a vision of a bygone era isn't easy. Despite my abilities, it's impossible to completely know how life was back then. I aim to shed light on the experiences of the black community in the '90s, depicting a world of rampant discrimination. Using an image generator, I bring words to life, visualising unique concepts when perfect images aren't available.
My process involves AI scanning vast amounts of online images and text, predicting text and image pairings that harmonise.
Through the Mid Journey Discord platform and V4 software, I blend diverse footage, creating a 'new reality' using VR technology.
I'm amazed by how words come to life.
Focusing on storytelling through imagery and imagination, I aim to bring to life the world I envision. Being driven to express it through my stories and pictures.
Presenting my work in a magazine format is a tribute to the '90s, a time when magazines were accessible to all social backgrounds. By sharing my personal perception of the '90s for a black person, I strive to convey the cultural, social, and economic realities of that time, making my work deeply personal and relatable.
Immersing myself in a world beyond my upbringing, my art aims to inspire and reveal the potential of AI as a respectful tool. While not photographic reproductions, my creations transport us back, showing AI's ability to enlighten rather than evoke fear.
